I'm considering investing a small amount of money in the Korean stock exchange. I'm looking at potential brokers I can go through and so far E-Trade Korea seems to be the easiest broker to use.
It is a lot easier for long-term residents to invest in Korean stocks than people who come for short periods of time. Basically we have to register unless we have lived in Korea for more than six months. For the majority of people that might not be too big of a problem but for me it is unfortunately.
Anyhow, if anyone is interested on the link I was looking at:

Yes, I have purchased Korean stocks. I went through 대우증권. I like them well enough -- their service is courteous and their fees reasonable -- but I don't know if they have any specific service for non-Korean speaking foreigners.
About E*Trade, I know nothing. |

Very Nice, I will take a look at them later. Korean language related issues won't be a problem for me.
How's their online system? I assume that you make the trades online instead of by on the phone, (although please do tell if I'm wrong, assumptions can lead to misunderstandings). |

You can do both. I prefer to make trades over the phone personally -- I feel that talking to a person is more direct, so I can't really comment about their online trading, but I'm sure it works well enough. |

Very interesting! I like using the phone too, but usually by buying and selling online you avoid extra fees that a phone call would give you. Do they give you any fees for buying/selling through phone calls? |
