Chinese President Hu lauds North Korea ties despite tension

Hu Jintao wrote:
The traditional friendship between China and North Korea was personally created and nurtured by our two parties' and countries' former generation of revolutionaries, and is our precious common treasure

Constantly consolidating and developing Chinese-North Korean friendly cooperation is the firm and unbending policy of China's party and government.

We are confident that under the leadership of Comrade Kim Jong-un, the Korean Workers' Party and government will certainly be able to lead the North Korean people in unified struggle, forging forward to constantly score new successes in building a strong and prosperous socialist country.

Many, many Chinese would disagree.

I can't say I'm too surprised. He doesn't say anything radical or shocking, and taking in to consideration who/when he said this, it means even less.

South Korea is pretty much a 51st state of the USA. That's the sad thing.

US challenges China over N Korea launcher

Quote:
The US has confronted Beijing over allegations that a Chinese company supplied North Korea with military technology for a missile launcher, possibly breaching UN sanctions.

Chinas involvement could breach UN Security Council resolution 1874, which prohibits the supply to North Korea of any arms or related material, or providing financial transactions, technical training, services, or assistance related to such arms. That resolution came into force in 2006.

Such a breach would seriously compromise Chinas role as honest broker in the international dialogue to stop North Koreas nuclear development, analysts said.

Somewhat more than talk.

Seeing as there are over a billion people in China, even if 0.01% of the people disagreed, that would be a grand total of 100,000 dissenters.

I'd say that's many.
