Hi All
I have recently moved to Korea with my Wife and my wife is expecting to deliver baby in November. As I am in office all day, I am afraid how my wife will live alone at home, Particularly if she gets a C-section delivery. Is it possible to live alone all day after a C-section? Any ideas on this? Your Views are highly appreciated. Thanks |

Hi nomanshaheer,
"Is it possible to live alone all day after a C-section? "
Yes, it's possible.
"Any ideas on this?"
Yes, Speak to a doctor. Why are you asking for advice on a medical issue from a bunch of English teachers.
PS. Just in case you missed it, I was being sarcastic with my first answer, I actually have no idea. PLEASE SPEAK TO A DOCTOR. |

Thanks, Actually many people in this forum have gone through the experience of becoming parents. And they have always provided me very good advice using their personal experience. |

Your boss isn't willing to give you a day off of work to be there for the delivery of your baby? I'm sure with a few weeks notice, they'll let you off (even with docked pay) @.@;; |

OP, I believe according to Korean Labor Law, as of August 2012, you will be entitled to 3 days of paid paternity leave plus 2 days of unpaid paternity leave. Perhaps you should talk to your boss about taking leave.
I had a natural vaginal delivery with my first son and I remember being ok, but my husband worked nights and was able to help me out during the daytime. We also had people bringing us meals every day for the first two weeks. We also had a dishwasher. So it was a lot easier than it will be for me this second time around, I think. (I am due next week, and my first son is almost 4.) |
