So I have a job lined up and it's been quite the process so I'm super excited. Right now I'm applying for the visa, which leads me to my possibly stupid question. Last year, I visited Cuba over the summer (I'm from the US), the visa asks to include the countries you've visited over the past 5 years, would anyone have any input or thoughts on whether or not you think this may cause a problem?

I've done a little bit of research and I feel like it shouldn't be an issue, but I would just like some peace of mind. I don't know how strict they are with not allowing someone to get a visa so that's where my anxiety is coming from. I would just not include it in the application but I don't really want to take any chances either. I'm sure other people don't really have experience with this specific issue, was just looking for some kind of thoughts. Thanks.

What's the problem with adding countries you've visited? It seems an irrelevant. Just put in all the countries you've visited for the past five years. If you have something to hide, then you may have trouble getting a visa.

Ha, this is kind of why I thought it was a stupid, and paranoid question. In the US there's a travel restriction/embargo against Cuba. I figure it probably is irrelevant, I'm just somewhat paranoid of anything impeding me getting the visa after I've come this far and finally have everything (just about) sorted out.

I've just read a number of things regarding how strict SK is with allowing people into the country, though I suppose it's not for reasons such as this, but the question was more about how strict they are/if people have had their visas denied. Thinking about it, it seems like withholding any information is a good way of shooting myself in the foot.

The US and Cuba have their issues. Canadians go there all the time for fun in the sun as do the Brits, and plane loads of Europeans.

Non issue as far as everyone on the planet except Uncle Sam is concerned.

Maybe if you give us a list of countries that you've been to, we can tell you if one of them should be left off of your resume.

Have you ever been to North Korea? THAT is one country that you should probably leave off your resume.

I would think the only country they care to see on that list would be North Korea lol

I'd say if you haven't been to Juche workers' paradise in the past five years, you're good.
