My girlfriend and I have been looking at a lot of those travel packages (flight, rental car, sometimes hotel), as a lot of the time they seem like pretty good deals.

However, the time we want to go (roughly 7/30-8/3) is the time everyone in Korea wants to go, so some of them are expensive, and some of them don't offer their discounted packages until closer to the travel date.

I'm wondering if

1) they will offer discounts for that time period at all, since everyone wants to go anyway

2) we should just get tickets now, to make sure we are able to go

and if anyone has recommendations for packages, or just general Jeju tips, please pass those on as well.
