The warm weather always makes me want to drink a nice beer while sitting on a patio. I'm enjoying the fact that import beer has been really cheap lately, because I can't stand Korean beer. I won't touch it. I'm not some beer snob, I just don't like piss in a bottle.

What beers are you drinking at the moment?

My usual beers are
Asahi Super Dry: Nothing special, but a nice lager much like the most common of big names beers from Canada (I'm a Canuckistanian). 2,500 for a bottle, 3,000 for a tall can.
Carlsberg: A bit more flavorful than Asahi and about the same price.
Heineken: Kind a boring, but nice on hot days. Same price as Asahi.
KEO: A bit old school, stronger taste for such a pale beer. For the price though it's mighty nice change from Korean beer but nor really the kind of beer I like to drink most often. 1,000 won for a 330ml can.
Martens: I'm liking this stuff. At less than 2,000 won for a 500ml can its a great deal.
Hackenberg: 1,500 won for a 500 mil can. Another great find.
Singtao: at 2,500 won for the big bottles this stuff is great.

I also love the original Budweiser from the Chech Republic. Fantastic stuff and usually about 2,700 won for a bottle.
Baltika 5, 7 and 9 are also good beers. for under 3,000 won a bottle.

Been looking for a good light beer for those hot days and made the mistake of trying Miller Light...I'd rather drink Cass.

I really like Tsingtao. Watch out for the Carlsberg, some are made in China yet the stores still charge high prices for them. If it is made in China it better be the same price as Tsingtao.

Got Lowenbrau at the Home Plus. Love that.

Boddington's, Alley Kat, Guinness, Kilkenny, sometimes a Leffe Blonde or Pilsner Urquell. There seems to be a pilsner boom at the moment.

Where do you get Baltika for under 3,000 won a bottle? I've only ever come across them at Uzbek restaurants for 5K each.

I would love to find a good IPA. I've only ever seen a picture of the Moon Bear IPA, but have so far been unable to get to Craftworks to actually try it out.

Pretty much anything from Belgium especially, and most of Europe is good. I'm not a beer snob either but will pay for good stuff if it available. Most beer made in the bits of Asia that I know kinda suck.

At the Homeplus/Tesco stores I recently discovered a Monteith's Golden Lager from New Zealand that's great - refreshing, slightly yeasty and hoppy but not overly so.

I bought some Staropramen at 2,000 won a bottle at E-Mart a few weeks back.

It was very, very pleasant.

Nah, there's a buweiser from the Czech Rep.. Or there was until they had to change their name after (even though I think the actual city is named "Budweiser").

Homeplus has a pretty good 6 cans for 10,000 won sale these days (330-375 ml cans). The sale included Asahi, Kirin, Carlsberg, Heineken, Corona, KGB, Miller and some other brands I can't remember. Nothing too exotic, but the price is agreeable.

I thought you could still buy the Czech Budweiser? I think it's still for sale in the UK. Budvar is similar, and also good. haven't seen it in Seoul though

I didn't know they had that here. I'll check out my local e-mart. I mainly drink Kronenberg, and Asahi, ..followed by Hite. A lot of the Japanese beers are brewed in China now though and I'm not sure I trust their standards.
