I have a new phone on contract, meaning I pay for the service and the cost of the pbone, but I would like to switch phones. If I can find someone willing to trade phones, can we just swap the SIM cards and be done with it? Then I would continue paying for the service and the phone. Or is that impossible? BTW, if anyone has a Galaxy Note that they don't like and wants to swap for a Galaxy S2 HD LTE, shoot me a PM.

You have two options.

Option 1: You can pay off the phone and then change the phone. Which means you'll have two phones in the end, but you can sell it to somebody online.

Option 2: You can find somebody to take over the contract and that person continues the contract. You'll be free from any contractual agreement with the phone company.
