I might be moving to Seoul next month and giving up the 350,000 for 20 pyeong lifestyle that I've had in Daegu for the past year.
I would be working at a corporate gig in Kangnam, but no accommodation provided, other than rental allowance. So I'm scouting for accommodation ideas.
Where are you Seoulites living, who are not living in school provided housing? And how much are you paying?
PS. The first person that can refer me a good in Kangnam that specializes in finding those cheaper places, wins a kewpie doll! |

Bloody hell that's a bit expensive isn't it? It really does help to share a flat as I do, for just a little more rent and key money, you can get a much bigger place. You're getting stung I'm sure. |

I know it is expensive, but I decided to stay in this area due to work and ease of travelling. School pays 300 a month towards it, so it only costs me 350.
It doesn't worry me as everything is so convenient form here, plus the plan is to stay here for another 18 months or so and then move out, having made money to put down as chonsae.
But yes, you are right. It is dear here. |
