What is required to do this easily?
(E2) Contract says I need to give 2-months notice.

My hagwon was supposed to have been a solid school because it has 6 foreign teachers, but this is the second month in a row that I've been paid late, and the boss has told a different lie to each teacher as to why we are being paid late.

I just don't trust the school. For now I'll stick with it, but is it possible to make a quick decision if I need to? I'm fairly committed/invested to Korea and would like to stay in-country if I can

Thanks for any advice.

If you have a dishonest school then you won't likely get a LOR. So unless they do something illegal or go out of business then you're not likely to get permission to transfer your visa to another school (or to a D10).

Your main option is doing a visa run to Japan and getting a new visa. For that you'll need a whole new set of documents. In any case, it's good to have a spare copy (if you don't already). Once you have the documents, you can start job hunting and when you get an offer, quit your current job, go to japan, return as a tourist, get a new visa issuance number, go to Japan again (on the new school's dime) and come back to your new job. Whether or not you work during the time while you're waiting for the new VIN is up to you. It's illegal though.
