|
|
So, most public buildings are set at 26 degrees. But no insulation means some rooms are much hotter than that. ALmost like having no air con on at all. Really unbearable. In some schools I had a seperate room with a seperate air con I could go control, but this year, it's a ceiling one regulated at 26 degrees. Anyways, someone told me something about changing the settings to lower the humiditity (제습) and it forces the air con to work harder to cool the room. There's not actually a 제습 button. However, if anyone has any experience or knows what I'm talking about, please tell how on this board. Which buttons should I push to trick the system? |

Yes, when I lower the temperature, within 10 seconds, the temperature goes back up to 26 degrees. But if I can mess with the settings and cheat the system, then I'd like to know how. |

I can't picture a school having a humidistat. I've only heard of them on high end type sytems. Just a guess, but the thermostat in your room is just a temperature sensor, and the 26 degree setting has been locked at some central control panel type device.
I worked in the HVAC business for a while. In large office building type places, an old trick to keep people from complaining about the temperature is to put a few boxes on the wall that can't do anything. People press buttons on the boxes that affects nothing, and the number slowly goes back to what the real control was set at. You'd be amazed how well that works. |

Find the temperature sensor. It might be in the air conditioner unit itself. Put something hot under it. |
