|

Can anyone tell me of any reliable after school programs?
I have worked for one (Daniel English, or ElandEdu) and had an interview with another (NobleEdu). The first broke the law by not paying my last months salary (but I got it through the Labor Board in the end), and the one I interviewed at had an illegal clause in the contract....if you quit before the contract is up, they deduct two weeks pay (I checked the legallity of this with the Labor Board).
I am looking for an after school program that are reliable and do not break the law. Illegal clauses in contracts speak volumes of how I will be treated in the future over other things, even if that particular clause is not relevant to me. Having them remove the illegal clauses is besides the point.
A list of afterschool programs to avoid would be useful as well.
(I am sure there is a thread on this somewhere on this forum but I am having trouble finding it)
Thank you in advance |

I don't think you're going to receive a lot of responses on this one because this site is kind of going down and these programs are a bit of an ambiguous enterprise. I've read almost everything that is available about AS programs and I still don't know very much. It appears the number of companies who run these programs is expanding a good deal, and it's kind of the wild west, as far as how things will ultimately turn out. The companies and the particular school will always have differing relationships. There's no list of companies that I know of but the big ones were mentioned in the link I left upstairs. There are a lot of smaller ones that you will have trouble finding much if any information on. You just have to keep watching the ads on worknplay and other sites. That's my interpretation of the game. |
