|

| Trying to make my first purchase using a foreign credit card and at the end when I press 'Pay' it asks me to confirm a couple things and then nothing happens. Never asked to input card number and stuck on the address / form of payment page. Any suggestions? |

| Aside: I was able to use my US credit card during my first G-Market order. However within 48 hours (closer to 24) fraudulent charges then appeared on my credit card from a scam vendor known on the internet, and I had to order a replacement card. I hadn't used the card anywhere else for quite some time before that. I like G-Market and use them often, but I only pay via ATM transfer since then. It's a short walk to the ATM, but it's not a big deal for me. I would think (and hope) my credit card experience at G-Market is rare, but I don't trust the site for credit card payments anymore. |

Thanks Pablo.
That's enough to give up on the card and try to get someone at work to place the order instead. |

| Get Internet or phone banking if you've got a capable phone. You don't even have to walk half a block to the ATM, just pop out the phone and send the money immediately. |

| I had problems in the past with ordering online. But then other times have had no problems. They prob keep blocking things from time to time. Who knows with them? Guess the foriegn credit cards are convenient because damn nonghyup still won't give me a korean credit card. As for using pay by atm, sometimes you don't want to wait until pay day before making a purchase. lol |

I have been using my Canadian credit card for the best part of a year on G-Market WITHOUT ANY PROBLEMS.
When you have your ARC number and it's activated, you may or may not be able to use your Korean credit card however, you will be able to use your Korean bank account. You will have to physically go to a bank machine (or use internet banking) to transfer money to G-Market. Done deal.
I've been doing both of these since January of this year. 50+ purchases and I haven't been worked over at all. Even when I had a $400 scanner cancelled out from under me, there charges were reversed on my Canadian credit card without a problem (except for it took 4 days --- nervous).
Happy Shopping. |

I've not been able to finish a Gmarket order without using Internet Explorer, so maybe that could be the source of your trouble? Boot up IE to place the order if you're not already - you'll almost certainly need to install some ActiveX "security" software.
Other than that, the payment system is always pernickety for me too. If I use the English language version of the site it allows me to use my British debit card or pay later via bank transfer, but I have to use the Korean version of the site to pay using my KEB card directly. Odd. |
