Hi. I'm a Canadian SMOE teacher, and I will have completed my 1 year contract with SMOE at the end of August.

I want to know how much I will receive at the end of my contract.

Total.

I know that I will get my last pay (minus deductions),flight, my housing allowance and severance (perhaps not all at the same time), and I know that I have to apply for pension separately and will receive that within a month or so.

But my question is more specific and is directed at teachers who have already been in my situation, having left SMOE and returned to Canada (or america I suppose):

How much did you receive (after taxes, etc)? What is the amount, more or less, that you ended up with in your bank account after everything?

1. Last month's salary
2. Average of last 3 months for severance
3. About 9% of your salary times 12 for pension

Show the pension office your flight out and you should get it a month after.
