As of current, I am in South Korea and waiting on my Medical Check results which I did a few days ago. The results are supposed to be ready by Monday, and they want me to bring in 1 passport photo in order to retrieve the results.

My question is how many more will I need after this? When I started this whole process, I was told to get 6 photos, so I got 6. Everyone and their mother has been requesting these photos and somewhere along the lines I ended up having to give away 5 of them... I now only have 1 left and the hospital wants it. Is this the last one I need? I have heard that you also need 2 to get the ARC, but if that's the case I won't have enough left. I would like to avoid having to go get more if at all possible since it's just another thing I have to worry about. In the case that I do need more, would they accept photocopies of the picture from a regular printer? Or do they have to be printed on photo paper?

Wow, 10,000 won is too much money to spend. Find a local photo place. Get some cheap quicky photos done and Bob's your uncle.

So if you get 10 more. What ever, having extras proves useful when some government office wants a photo. No worries, dig it up, hand over.

The won't accept photocopies, but when I last provided them they didn't have to be from a studio either. I got my photos done at one of those machines in a subway station.

Understanding comes.

You can get photo's done everywhere practically. Just look for a photo place. Any city or small town should have a couple. Look out for a green Fuji sign or a Yellow Kodak sign. Plus various other places, too. Even just saying pass-ah port-uh, will be understood enough. Most place will be able to take a pic no problem. How long to develop is the question. Some laces maybe a day. Others 10 or 20 minutes.

Do not really worry about the picture being perfect or set to some standard. Only for passport applications do photo need to be up to snuff. Careful photo placessomeplaces might want to dicker around with photoshop.

OP, Do you have access to a digital camera? I used homemade photos (inkjet) for my visa and passport without any issue. My photos were on heavy, plain paper (25lb stock). Good luck!

It is true that you use many photos. I'd guess maybe 12 and you'll be fine.

Walk down Itaewon all the way to across the street from the Hamilton Hotel. There is a small photo shop there. They do them fast and I think they're reasonable.
