|
|
I've been trying to set up the Uno Telly service to watch British & American TV shows while in Korea. I couldn't get it working and their technical support guy told me he thinks it's because KT are using a transparent proxy.
Can anyone confirm that this is the case and, if so, is there any way around it?
Thanks! |

many people use proxies to access content over seas without issue. It might be an issue specifically related to their software
I installed it..it worked fine, but its slow..
you're better off downloading torrents you'll find everything you want.
p.s.
this thing totally screwed up my DNS servers |

Thanks for the reply.
I do also use torrents but I want to be able to stream live sports etc as well (I know there's sites where you can do that for free, but the quality is better this way). I have been using a VPN but the speed has really slowed down lately, I've tried a few different ones so I think its to do with the connection between Korea and the UK. |

All this is is a VPN under another name. If you find all VPNs slow, you won't find this any better, I tried it out last night, and it was terrible quality. I went to CBS which is part of their "free" package and the video was streaming at its lowest level which on full screen looked heavily pixelated. |

Thanks for the info. One last thing - do you mind telling me who your ISP is? |

I have it working now, turns out the problem was with my router not my ISP.
I'm actually getting pretty good quality and speeds, much better than I've had with a normal VPN. |
