Does immigration keep the original FBI/RCMP check?

Just curious....

anyone know if immigration takes a photocopy and lets you keep the original of if they keep the original criminal background check.

They keep them. If you need (for the MOE as an example) copies they will issue copies for that purpose (300won per page). You do not get the originals back.

If you are changing jobs by D-10 or direct transfer of sponsorship you don't need new ones.

If you are applying for a new visa you DO need new ones.
