|
|
My current contract is ending on September 1st and I'm going to be attending Sogang's language program starting September 4th, so I'll be needing a D4 visa. My E2 visa will not expire until the end of September, so as I understand it I shouldn't need to leave the country. I know what documents I need in order to make the change per the immigration website, but am wondering about a few details which don't seem to be specified anywhere.
1. When can I make the switch? It says I need to change my visa status before engaging in a new activity, but can this be done now or do I have to wait until my current contract ends?
2. Which immigration office do I need to go to? Is it the one where I obtained my E2, or is there another office that specifically handles these kinds of things?
3. Do I need Korean sponsorship? I'm not sure if I need a Korean present to vouch for me, a letter, or neither.
Any help much appreciated. |
