I am not familiar with Incheon at all, but this coming weekend I will be meeting a girl out there, and I am looking for some recommendations for a decent restaurant. We're meeting near Incheon Terminal station next to Shinsegae. Italian, Japanese or something unique would be great.

Besides restaurants do you guys have any recommendations of things to do around there? I was reading about Incheon online, but I don't have any first hand knowledge of what is actually fun.

Thank a lot.

My friend opened a restaurant/bar in Art Center called Taco Cielo. It's one building over from O'Malley's. It's pretty decent Mexican fare. I usually get the fish or shrimp tacos or the shrimp salad, which is the same amount as 2 tacos, but instead of tortillas, you get a lot of lettuce and cabbage. Here's the link to their facebook page:

You can call the phone number if you need better directions.

Personally, I'm quite fond of Incheon's China Town district. It's interesting to walk around and there are lots of Chinese restaurants. I know that some people will get on here and say that the restaurants aren't authentic or whatever--meh, it is what it is and I've often had fun eating there, and it's different from other places I'm familiar with. I don't have a particular restaurant recommendation, but it's always fun to walk around and pick whatever strikes your fancy. The Chinese restaurants all have your typical jajongmyun and tangsuyuk stuff, but they also have much more, so experiment a little.

Also, China Town is very close (5 min taxi ride) to Wolmido, which has a boardwalk along the sea and some carnival rides and this, that and the other. Again, someone will pipe in and say that it's rubbish compared to somewhere else so we can all be impressed by that person's worldliness.

I've no idea where these areas are in relation to the Terminal/Shinsegae, but the entrance to the China Town is literally just outside Incheon Subway Station--end of the line for Seoul Subway Line 1. Wolmido is a very short cab or bus ride away.
