in Bruce Cumings' book Korea's Place in the Sun there is a photo of a gigantic shinto shrine which he says is on South Mountain in Seoul. ive looked in different tourist guides and on the net and i cant find anything about it. does it still exist? where exactly is it? |

Namsan is South Mtn. The shrine was built by the hated Japanese in 1923 and destroyed by the Koreans after the Japanese withdrawal as a symbol of Japanese repression of Korean culture. |
