Has anyone ever signed a contract for more than 1 year, or got a permanent job?
I don't know anyone that ever has. Even on an F-visa, the contract provided is the same as an E2; 1 year.
If you did, how did you do it? |

I transfered my job and immigration gave me 13 and half months. I looked a bit on the hikorea site and could see nothing about time limitation of work visas
I have heard of people signing 2 years contracts. I think it is up to the business or sponsor to chose if they want to hire some one for a long period. I think all business for any citizen sign employment contracts.
Maybe some more light can get shed on this. |

Two-year contracts are no problem with Immigration and many schools do them, more commonly for renewals. Just write the contract for two years. However, there are more issues to include in the contract. |

Some Universities also offer longer contracts for certain positions (lecturer for example). |
