They closed some branches.
And there seems to be a lack of "non-Koreans" at each branch. You can tell because they don't list the Korean teachers' last names. They used to pride themselves on having many foreign teachers.
Interesting because when I was there they had huge expansion plans.

These are indeed times where the great Asia boom is slowing down over there. Some other teachers recently mentioned how discretionary incomes are going down so parents aren't able to afford hagwon classes like they could just a few years ago. Not only is the cost of living and tuitions rising all across the board, but pay and opportunity is generally decreasing in most career specialties. The conundrum we Americans are complaining about is a world wide economic reality that's a sign of these times though it's more extreme in some countries and better in others. I don't like this job market either based on my experiences of looking for 3 months so far with nothing more offered than 2.1 to 2.2 kindy/elementary hagwons when I was applying for English village positions through recruiters on this website. I'm repeatably finding pay and conditions to be far worse in all other countries except those in the Middle East requiring much higher credentials than a bachelors and a few years teaching experience. I'm still so ambivalent on the economic situation with hagwons and the mind/guilt trips many directors and co-teachers play at work over there.
