I know her mostly by her reputation, which was formidable. I think I only glanced through Cosmo once or twice. As I recall, it included a section detailing readers' experiences with performing oral sex and whatnot.
I guess she kind of epitomized the Sexual Revolution. Maybe a less cheesy version of Hugh Hefner, from the distaff side of the equation. The magazine was arguably iconic in the same way as Playboy.
Anyway, RIP.
