There's a newish taco place in Itaewon that has tacos for 3000 won, everything else is under 5000 won (maybe 6000 for some kind of huge nacho thing), and it's open til 3am on the weekdays and 6am on the weekends.

The reason I'm mentioning this is because I rarely see anyone in there, and the food's really good, and it's nice to have a restaurant like that that's open really late.

It's on the street behind the Coffee Bean (old Burger King). Walk up it like you're going towards hooker hill, and it'll be on the left. And be a bit wary about any girls you meet on that road because there are a lot of trannies. Smile

I like that place too. They desperately need draft beer though. That is, I desperately need it when I'm in there.

I forget the exact name but it's not Taco Amigo. I saw it a couple of weekends back and intend to check it out, maybe this weekend.

If they're open that late, they definitely need to try and churn out some beer action.

is it the same ownership as Noksapyeong's "TACO"? If so...no thanks.

hmm...no, i don't think so....I think the meat at the place in Noksapyeong (chili chili?) is crap. It's always grisly and it's overpriced.

I think this guy just called it Taco because it's on a back street, and TACO is best way to advertise what he has.

Go.....don't go....whatever......it doesn't hurt you to stop by during some late night, and plopping down 3000 won for a taco...I just don't want to see the place go out of business from lack of people knowing about it.

cool, in that case i'll try it. i was just suspicious because "chili chili" has a similar large TACO sign and it's all priced at about 3000 won as well.

Oooh, I live right there and walk past that place every night... I was wondering how it was. I'll have to give it a look.

For all those wondering, if you come out of exit 3, turn around, and take a left at the Coffeebean, take the first left past that and walk straight. It'll be on your left side. If you've hit the 7-11 you've gone too far!

I think it would be better to give the instructions like this: stumble out of a wh*rehouse on hooker hill, hungry from your exertions, and walk straight down the hill, cross the street and keep going straight and it's on your right. Be sure to pour a little liquor out on the ground in front of where Starbutts used to be.

It's called Taco Family. Not bad but not all that great to me, either. The chicken in the burrito had almost nothing in the way of seasonings, but it's not as dry as the Noksapyeong place. The biggest draw I see is grabbing a bite late-night because of the hours.

It's edible but I wouldn't call it great. It's obvious most of you have never lived in the Southwest or SoCal.

I've given up on finding great Mexican food in Korea. I just make it at home when I can get a hold of the proper materials.

OTOH, the Turkish place just 7 or 8 doors down the alley is freaking fantastic.

The taco place is pretty good

They did not have chicken, only beef

Or maybe the other way around

I forget

They had to go out to get me a beer

Heineken or Corona 5,000

It was not icy cold
