for foreign workers: 031-345-5000
---------------------------------------------------------------
National Labor Consultation Center
The NLCC of the Ministry of Employment and Labor provides counseling service on employment & labor administration such as wage, retirement pay, dismissal, trade unions, occupational safety, equal employment, general labor matters, etc.
Phone counseling service is available from Monday to Friday, from 9:00 to 18:00. 031-345-5200
In regards to your specific case (from the other thread)...
You are not in the UK any more.
Worker harassment rules don't, for the most part, exist.
www.moel.go.kr/english/download_eng.jsp?type=&file=(31)LABORSTANDARDSACT_2011.pdf
You best get up to speed on the labor standards acts before you go any further and have a Korean speaker to help you if you do manage to push it past the 1st interview.
If you worked for less than 6 months you don't have a leg to stand on (you are deemed under law to be a probationary employee) and subject to termination without cause or notice (other than what may have been stipulated specifically in your contract). If you were employed more than 6 months the limit of their liability to you is 30 days pay or 30 days notice.

Listen to what everyone is telling you. Drop this and move on. You are just going to waste your time. Working in a foreign country on the other side of the world is risky. Just accept that. |

I hate saying this, but I'm afraid the posters advising you to drop it are probably right. I had a similar sounding situation and tried discussing it with a person on the line from the labor board. The English levels were so poor I would have needed a pair of English-Korean linguists to communicate a fairly simple problem and question.
At some point, I realized their level of English and issues around what I'd call "logic" were so complicated that to proceed was to just waste time. |

Unless we know the details of the bullying, I would let it drop.
Really the question is what do you want? Do you want money, blood, justice, person to loose job, or just the words "you where right, and they where wrong".
You need to figure out if this is worth fighting for. Or is it easier just to walk away. |
