Hey everyone, I could use some advice.
I'm currently teaching at a public school in Seoul. I plan to teach for 1 more year (I've been here for 2 already) before taking a year off and going to graduate school.
I've decided to do it on campus since I miss the student life and it will give me a break from teaching for a while. I would also prefer to stay in Asia since I really like it over here but I am open to studying in Canada (which is where I'm originally from).
My plan is to get my MA in Linguistics, TESOL or Education and then come back to Korea and apply for a university position.
The 4 possible countries I plan to study are:
Hong Kong
University of Hong Kong
Hong Kong Baptist University
China
University of Nottingham Ningbo Campus (China)
Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (I would be earning a University of Liverpool Degree in China)
Taiwan
Taiwan National University
Canada
Brock University
I focused on these programs (with the exception of TNU) since they were only a year long and I would be able to get my degree sooner. I chose Taiwan as an option due to the lower costs and it would be a nice place to study for a couple years.
Do Korean Universities accept MAs from Hong Kong or Taiwan?
Also how respected are the British degrees earned on campus in China since they are relatively new?
Any advice or feedback would be much appreciated.
Thanks! |
