Don't work with this hagwon. The owner still owes me money and the materials he uses are substandard. There are many other great hagwons out there. Just want to give people a heads up if they get a contract or offer from this school.

Thanks. I was just offered positions with Oxford and Minbyeongchul BCM in Cheongju. I think they might actually be the same hagwon, but I turned them down due to the schedule obviously being a ridiculous triple split shift of 6:50 to noon, 2pm to 4pm, and 5pm to 10pm which is about a 75 hour work week when you include the necessary lesson planning for classes of many levels and all the highly probable meetings/threats involving demands to perform better. I was actually requested to submit new photos showing a better smile and talk faster with the VP to get this job offer and when I had a question for the recruiter lady to negotiate to knock off the 2-4pm class out of the schedule, the response was a shrill, "hey! hey! hey! hey! You have the info!!!." Shocked I hung up and emailed her I wasn't going this route and she apologized that the school had too high of demands.

It's a very tough and slowing market out there these days, but I know it's not worth walking into what is obvious trouble regardless how desperate I am to get a job at 40 years old, have my own little affordable place to live, and enjoy a living wage level of salary with a renewed sense of purpose in life. It's torment...
