Hi,

I'm soon to take up a teaching position in Korea and so I'm trying to work out what I need to bring. I've been told that as I'm over 6ft and have size 11 (UK) feet I won't really be able to buy clothes or shoes in Korea. Is this entirely the case? I'd rather not bring everything I own! I'll be living fairly close to Busan so would be able to shop there easily enough. Any guidance would be very helpful!

It is hard to find right fitting clothes even for my size. I'm average build, 5"7 145 pounds and just am barely able to find my size. Everything is quite small. As far as Big & Tall stores, I did a google search and saw this thread..

Will be best to bring anything that you can't live without.

Buy casual clothes from H&M or Uniqlo up in Seoul. Sizes in H&M are the same as they are in Europe, and Uniqlo seems to be very similar. From a practical point of view you shouldn't have to go clothes shopping often if you prepare adequately for the summer and winter, and it's likely you'll visit Seoul at least twice a year

For work, these places also sell shirts, trousers and shoes. For suits, you can get a tailored one anywhere or just bring them with you

I'm size 10 and was looking for flip-flops the other night. My foot is just too wide. I will have to keep looking and who knows what I will end up with.
