I'm staying in Korea for a little while with my boyfriend, and he wants me to help him with writing an educational book. Since I have no visa (US citizen here as a tourist visiting friends/sightseeing), I'm wondering if this is allowed. He insists that since we will be working on our own and just trying to sell the book to Korean publisher, my immigration status shouldn't matter. But I don't know and can't find any leads how to figure this out.

It would technically be illegal (activity not permitted under your status of sojourn) but would easily fly under the radar (be a non-issue).
