Anyone know of any movie theaters showing "The Master" by Paul Thomas Anderson?

This website seems pretty good:

http://cineinkorea.com/

The Master isn't on there yet. I think it will come... a few pretty well known actors, very ambitious, Oscar aspirations.

If not, I'll fly to Japan. PTA is my hero.

I'm looking forward to seeing it, as well, but I don't expect it to come to theaters here anytime soon; maybe not at all.

I just checked imdb.com; there are release dates for America and Canada (it's in limited release in both countries right now), Australia (in Nov.) and various places in Europe (in Nov., Dec., Jan., and Feb.), but there's nothing listed for Asia.

I find it's only blockbusters, action movies, animation movies and, occasionally, comedies that make it to theaters here, but not smaller, independent movies, even if they have great reviews and eventually dominate during awards season.

It's possible there's a theater somewhere in Seoul that shows lesser known films, and I'm just not aware of it. If that's the case, maybe somebody will be able to provide the details. If not, you'll have to wait for it to come up for download, if you're into that. Smile

The critics give it high praise, Yahoo viewers give it low marks. Maybe the religious right is at work here, must be one of those types of movies. I'm looking forward to it, though.

Well that sucks, the movie was shot in 70mm and I'd have loved to see it on a screen.
