So one recruiter has told me I'm going to have to get an FBI check because I lived in the States while I went to University, even though I'm Canadian. I've never had to do this in the past two visa applications, nor have I ever heard of someone else having to do this. Is this recruiter crazy, or have the laws changed? |

Nonsense, the criminal background check has to match your passport. If you are on a Canadian passport then its a Canadian CBC they need. You could have left Canada at age two but if you are travelling on a Canadian passport that's where they want the CBC to be from.
Logic is not a huge thing here. |

Oh, I know that logic is a difficult concept in Korea... lol. Still willing to return. Oh well. Just wanted to double check. Thanks! |

You could be safe and get both just in case. Besides what if you decide you want to teach in another country, then you have it. |
