I am in the U.K. Right now, I'm deciding where to go. Some of my friends want me to go to Korea and advise public school jobs. They are seen as more stable than the alternatives.
In 2009, I applied for one such job through GEPIK. I fell very ill just before I was due to fly, and so my E-2 visa was cancelled. Luckily I hadn't resigned from my job in the U.K! But would that cancellation stop me from applying to GEPIK again?
A year later I went to China where I had 2 good years. I am thinking of whether to go there or to Korea where money is maybe better. To my horror I discovered that the CRC needs to be notarized as well as apostilled. Lawyers where I live will charge 40-50 pounds for this. To me this is paranoid, but I can do it.
Then I read that since I taught briefly in Korea ages ago, I will have to get a CRC done for Korea too! Can you confirm this? |
