I am considering teaching in Korea after my 2 years in China. Start up costs will be lower.
However, years ago, I taught in a dodgy hagwon and got fired the other westerners at that school. I got my release letter.
I looked at the paperwork involved in getting an E-2 visa. It seems a bit paranoid but cheaper than getting a new Chinese visa and flying there.
But then I read that because I taught in Korea before I will need a korean background check as well.
Is this true? Please inform me.
I believe one criminal record check is necessary but all the extra stuff is due to a xenophobic government and media which focuses on foreigners mainly if we commit crimes. |
