Does anyone know if there is a place that services Sony products in Yongsan? My DVD drive took a dump and I'd rather have it fixed here
than pay for shipping back home. Thanks..

Yeah there is. It is located behind the train station in Jeongja Land or one of those buildings. They only service specific products and if they can't fix yours they will give the address and number of an after service center somewhere in gangnam.

I think he meant ET Land/ JeonJa Land (ET Land 전자랜드) at Yongsan Electronics Market

or from sony website

Do you mean the DVD drive in your computer? Do you know they're dirt cheap? Like, 30,000 for a new LG one which will likely be much better than your old Sony one.

I was wondering the same. After all since 200X anything with the word "DVD" in it is probably cheaper to replace than to repair.

Sounds like he's talking about a DVD drive in one's laptop, Sony VAIO, if that's the case.

Official Sony repair center in Yongsan is indeed inside ET Land building, but it's on the first floor of the western wing(신관), say, the the farther section from the train station. And this shop does cover VAIO laptops.

The Sony Vaio place in across the tracks from the main Yongsan building. It is in the Jeonja land building. The long one that bends a little along with the road. The customer service center is in the basement and one of the far ends. Going south I think. They will likely replace or fix the drive.

I maybe wrong, has the place moved. It has been months since my last visit. No need anymore as I found one in my city.
