My current E2 won't expire until January 29th although I am no longer in Korea. I am just beginning to start getting documents ready (FBI CBC, etc) to go back to Korea. I think starting now will have all my documents ready by January. However, I am unsure as to when I should contact recruiters. I don't want to start too early and have a visa denied because my first hasn't expired. Do I have to wait till the visa expiration date for a new visa issuance number or just the actual visa? Would contacting recruiters in the middle of January be good timing to get me to Korea by the end of March? My main concern is getting denied a visa. |

IF you had an ARC and turned it in when you left (canceling your status of sojourn) then the visa in your passport is not relevant. You can apply when you are ready.
If you kept your ARC when you left then you need to wait until your ARC expires.
