I've searched on the site and found a lot of different information on this. I also know things have changed a lot over the past few years so I'm looking for some help. Also, because I think my case might be a bit different I am wondering if anyone can help me out by answering a few of my questions..
Basically, I have an F6 Visa. I was a teacher in the past (3 years ago) on an E2 visa and had to submit a police check and diploma to immigration.. I got a F2 (now F6) shortly after this. I am currently working for a company and not as a teacher, however I am looking to get back into teaching this March. My questions are:
1) I submited a local police check from Canada to immigration 3 years ago. If I go back into teaching will I have to supply the MOE with a new one? Or because I have a F6 and have lived here over that time is a local check ok?
2) If I need to get a new CRC from Canada, can I do it from Korea? How much of a hassle will this be? and when should I start applying for it?
3) I have 2 degrees (4 year Science and 2 year Education), do I need to get these verified somehow? or are originals ok? If I do need a Notary stamp how do I get it and should I get it for both or just one?
4) Transcripts needed?
Thanks |

1) yes, the MOE will want a new one.
2) by mail through the RCMP - takes 4-6 months. The MOE also wants it certified by the Korean consulate in Canada.
3) At least one of them needs to have a "certified true copy" re-certified by a Korean consulate in Canada.
4) Perhaps yes for the certification process by the Korean consulate in Canada. NOT for the MOE.

Sounds like fun.. Maybe teaching isn't the way to go after all.. Thanks a lot for the info though. Appreciate it! |
