I havent been able to buy anything off the PSN store in over a week. It wont let me add funds and it keeps saying my billing info is wrong. This is definitely a sony side problem and its pretty common according to complaints after a google search. This has happened before to me at least twice in the last 4 years, but its usually a 1 or 2 day thing. Just want to see if anyone else in Korea has had this happen lately.

I haven't been able to buy anything since Dyad came out. Maybe a month ago? I tried every day that week and I kept getting some stupid error to which nobody online has found a solution. Does Sony not like money or something?

I'll try again later today when I get home

I called customer support in the US and they basically had me try every combination of my address, which is silly because I didnt change anything. The last time I purchased something was the end of June, but I've been on vacation so I haven't tried up till now. After trying ever combination of capitalizing, abbreviating, etc. Nothing seemed to work. Finally, they sent me to gamestop's site to buy a downloadable psn card code, but their payment gateway was just as picky. My bank says its not a problem on their end, and from what I can tell there are a lot of people who have had this happen. Honestly, the only way I can see getting money on my account is having my parents buy a card at home and email me the code, but that sounds almost more embarrassing than having them buy me a porn subscription.

I had the same problem on the weekend with Xbox live.

I don't use it that often and haven't changed anything since I last used it about 3 months ago but now it doesn't work.

Is it anything to do with this?

I've got a PSVITA and it is VERY annoying if i won't be able to download any games while in Korea.

very possible. My PSN account is still a US one though. I would guess there would be more people posting than me if we all couldnt do it.

I tried to purchase something yesterday morning and it's not working. So it's affecting me too.

Are you using a credit card from the United States and have a US billing address? I've never been able to use my card on the US PSN since I have a Korean address on file. I just buy PSN card codes on the internet and add funds that way. I've bought a few things in the last couple of weeks so I can at least verify that they're not somehow blocking service to Korea.

Ive had the same psn account and pretty much the same card for the last 4 years. If google searches are any indication, this thing happens and there isnt much you can do about it until it fixes it self or doesnt

Same here, I have EU account and since last 3 or 4 weeks I cannot use any of my credit cards with my home billing address. With Korean PSN store shut down for almost 3 month it looks like Sony doesn't want my money!

I posted about this a couple months ago and I'm pretty sure I started having problems around the time the Korean Govt decided to halt use of the PSNetwork here.

Some other posters told me US store access would probably remain untouched but... I guess they were wrong.

My shot-in-the-dark guess would be that we're still using Korean gateways to make transactions on the PSN store here and the government/Sony has shut them all down.

Googling this problem is useless since Sony never seems to have an answer. Too bad since I really wanted to buy some new PSN exclusives and actually be able to use the PlayStation+ service I'd paid for right before all this stuff went down.

I was thinking of downloading Armour Kill on my PS3 for BF3 ( with my K account that I had to use to activate my account. I don't play BF3 with mynkorean account I use mynCanadian account. Could I buy a Canadian PSN. gift card and put it on my Canadian account to purchase the DLC?

I bought a UK PSN card from an online retailer, they emailed me the code and it worked on my UK PSN account, so I think you'd be fine. It's an annoying way to go about things but it looks like it's the only option we have right now.
