| I have a friend coming from Thailand mid-October and he wants to see Seoraksan for the Fall colors. Problem is that I remember from the news last year that about 10 million people (guess) went to Seoraksan in Mid-October. A bit part of my Korea survival skills has always been to avoid the huge crowds and find something 80% as good without the crowds (i.e. avoid anything with "festival" in the name). Is there somewhere else that is 80% as good as Seoraksan without the crowds? Mid-October is really early for the Fall colors so it would have to be somewhere really far north and really high (like Seoraksan). He's not into hiking, places with a cable-car, chair lift are best. |
