I had to back out of my contract and flight ~ 2 weeks before departure in late August, because of a death in the family.
Am I now blacklisted from likely going back ?
What are the likely scenarios?
Should I contact another rep and begin again? |

Did the school buy your flight?
Did you get your E-2 visa? If so, then you can't get another visa for 11 months. |

I will assume you are American (the rules are slightly different for other nationalities).
IF you sent the paperwork for the visa confirmation number (to Korea) and have not yet applied for a visa (at your local Korea consulate) then you have to wait for 90 days (until the visa confirmation number expires).
IF the visa confirmation number was not applied for then you are free to begin again at your convenience.
If you have the visa confirmation number and HAVE applied for your visa (it was placed into your passport) then, as an American with a 1 year, multi-entry visa, you have to wait until it expires.

Sorry to hear about the death. Worst case, you have to wait a few months if they have issued the visa. Get new documents, and support your family while they grieve.
I hope everything works out! |
