The big fight of September is only five days away! The son of a legend vs the best looking guy in boxing.

The fighters face eachother off with Max Kellerman
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=419oSFkW3wE

First episode of HBO's 24/7.

Second Episode

I honestly can't say who will win. I think Chavez has the edge in size and power but this is a tough fight to call.

Should be interesting.

Martinez is the sentimental rags to riches, Chavez son of a champion who skips training when it suits him.

Good contrast in styles and age as well.

I'm all in for Sergio Smile

Do you know anywhere to watch it live?

Also, do you know any boxing gyms in the Hongdae/Sinchon area?

Thanks!

One punch can end it at any time. It's what I like about boxing. They are both world class athletes and it could come down to simply who's having a bad day, or who gets caught making a mistake.

Should be a good fight.

Jr really comes off like spoiled brat in the series but you never know with these kind of things. I have a hard time believing a guy at his level is really lazy especially considering he supposedly doesn't have the talent his father had. I have to admit Sergio a lot a more likable a much better speaker. I don't speak Spanish but Chavez sounds like a mumbling idiot at times.

Search for stream sites on google. That's what I usually do.

As for the gym, look up the martial arts sticky in General Discussion. I posted a gym I go to in hongdae.

Thanks, I had a look there but it seemed a bit small...do the coaches do any pad work or training with you?

Before his last fight, lots of people didn't think Chavez was close to Martinez's level. He looked great stopping Lee but Lee isn't top level like Martinez or the guy's Martinez has been beating.

Unless Chavez can impose his size and strength or Martinez starts to look his age, I reckon another KO for Sergio.

You'll be hard pressed to find boxing gyms in Korea that are bigger unless you go to to like the Korean sports university and they probably won't let you train unless you're a student. Gyms here are small, and that's an aspect of korea you'll have to live with.

As for padwork, as far as I can tell, Koreans don't seem to put a lot of importance on mittwork as much although it depends on the gym. In my gym you'll only get mittwork if you're preparing for a fight. My trainer sees sparring and bagwork as much more important training elements.

Holy shit. What a fight. Did not expect Julio to perform so poorly and then come back like he did in the last round. Just wow.

Canelo needs to stop fighting contenders. I'd love to see him against Cotto next. Mayweather would still kill him at this point.

Chavez turning out to be a dopey kinda guy-

http://www.usatoday.com/sports/boxing/story/2012/09/19/chavez-jr-tests-positive-for-marijuana-after-bout/57809034/1

Only an amazing 12th round, in which Chavez almost knocked out Martinez, saved him from complete embarrassment.

That came on Wednesday when Chavez tested positive after the fight for marijuana.

Spokesman Lee Samuels said Wednesday in a statement that Top Rank was reviewing the report of a positive marijuana test.

He said Chavez, 26, will explain the results before the Nevada State Athletic Commission.

Commission executive Keith Kizer declined to provide a name to the Associated Press, but said one of 32 fighters who took part in bouts at two Las Vegas venues last Saturday tested positive for marijuana.

Kizer said the commission is awaiting results of pre-fight tests for banned substances before releasing all the results.

This being his second offense in Nevada, Chavez could face a year's suspension and the loss of up to 100% of his purse, which was $3 million, before any pay-per-view revenue he receives.

Chavez fell to 46-1-1 with 32 knockouts with his loss to Martinez.

This is not the first time Chavez has tested positive for a banned substance. In 2009, he tested positive for Furosemide, a diuretic used to help lose weight or as a masking agent for steroids. The NSAC suspended him for seven months and he was fined $10,000.
