I'm taking the CELTA course in Seoul at the British Council.
I can get the main textbook at Kyobo bookstore, but the other two recommended titles are not currently available. I can special order them but that'll take weeks.
Does anyone have the following titles?
Scrivener, J (2005) Learning Teaching - Macmillan Books for Teachers (Macmillan Education) ISBN-13: 978-1-4050-1399-4
Parrot, M (2000) Grammar for English Language Teachers (Cambridge University Press)
ISBN-13: 978-0-521-47797-0 paperback |

I took my course back in May and I found I didn't use the learning teaching or the grammar reference book much. They should have a library at the school with those books available... ask them. You might have to use the books as a reference for a couple of assignments, in which case just look at them beforehand during your breaks. I started with zero grammar knowledge (beyond the average person) and I was fine with just the main book - mine was "a concise grammar for english language teachers." |

Sorry I can't be of help with the books, but just to let you know there is a new edition of Scrivener's book available, released last year I think.
Good luck with the CELTA, I'm sure you'll enjoy it. |
