My work computer has a Korean version of Windows 98, and I want to upgrade to an English version of Windows XP Is it possible, and if so, do I have to do a clean install? |

Well, I'm doing a reverse for a friends computer, except I'm going from English XP Pro to Korean XP Pro...It's telling me that it'll have to do a clean install because upgrading isn't possible when switching languages. |

Yes, an upgrade can only be done in the same language, especially from Windows 98.
You'll have to a fresh/clean installation, not an upgrade |

One thing you might want to check. . .
If your work computer is running Windows 98 it's probably an old computer. It might not have the guts to run XP. |
