I'm looking for a little bit of help here.
I was watching a youtube video and the ad appeared to be for an F1 demonstration in the streets of Seoul. The date given was this Saturday (October 6th), the rest of course was in Korean.
I tried googling for this, but didn't find anything.
Would anyone have some more information on this? |

| It's gonna be at Banpo river park (반포한강공원) at 2pm this Saturday, it being put on by red bull racing, I'm guessing they will have one of their back-up drivers in one of the older red bull cars. See u there |

I tried doing research and seems to be invite only? |

Thanks for the info Stu.
Any word on the invite only thing? The youtube ad just showed lots of people lining the streets. I thought it would be just a show up type thing. |

They need to prostitute erm promote F1 to Koreans somehow in order to get it into the culture so that the track can start to get into the black.
Will there be actual street driving of the cars by the actual racers and teams or just there for show with merchandise and the racing girls?
They've got, what, 4 years left of the F1 contract to turn this thing around?

I cycled down to the venue earlier this morning ( south side of Banpo bridge) i spoke to a few people there who were setting a few things up. It is happening tomorrow at 2 pm. Nobody seemed to know anything about needing invitations so I'm assuming its a free event. On the Facebook page there is a competition to enter which if you win then you get front row seats tomorrow plus a tour of the garage, close up with the car, get to meet the driver and get some free drinks. The competition closed earlier today
Pretty sure this is a free event, I'm gonna head down anyway |

Cycled past the area twice tonight. It looked like they have already stopped traffic from using the road under the bridge. Got barriers running up both sides of the road.
Also, on the return leg of my bike trip I saw the Red Bull F1 car arriving on the back of a bongo-like truck haha
Got to say but think its going to be extremely busy in that area with the F1 demonstration plus the fireworks show afterwards. |
