|
|
Hi,
I got a brand-new visa with my current job this past March...ie I brought all new documents, crim check etc. I will not be re-signing with my current job, but instead returning to a job I have had before. I will be on vacation at the end of my current contract, which expires Feb 28th 2013 and hope to start the new contract March 1st 2013.
How, when, and where can I get my visa switched to the new job?
What do I need?
When can I/must I have this changed by?
Where should I go? The immi office for my new or old job?
I have found a bunch of info on changing mid-contract, but not much for changing at the end of a contract.
I am wondering if I can set this up to happen before I leave on vacation, and if doing so will endanger my severance...
Advice would be very much appreciated!

Transfer to the new employer after the end of your old contract and before your ARC expires. (you can usually do the paperwork anytime within the last 7 days of your contract or after the contract expires).
Transfer takes place in the office that has jurisdiction over your place of residence (not place of employment).
You need:
ARC
Passport
new contract
new employer's business registration
new employer's guarantee (sponsorship form)
application
fee

I will be in the same boat next June. I do not need a new CBC and apostilled degree and original transcripts, right? |

Provided you keep the same status of sojourn (transfer to a new employer) then correct.
IF you apply for a NEW visa then you need new documents.
