Why do they make people who have been here for more than a year go to some introductory seminar? Also, why havent I seen any posts on daves for it (i did search).

I know at least one other school is also telling their teachers they have to go... it's the law...

Do you guys know what im talking about?

Probably for the same reason they treat people who've been in Korea for a decade just like they're FOBs.

What? You wanted a logical answer for an illogical practice?

( I am drunk at the moment) but a few months ago... Many of the schools where told here in Daejeon that all foreign/E2 teachers where to attend a meeting near city hall. It was OK, a slight waste of a time of a morning/afternoon. It was just a big gathering telling us how to be good teachers and a break down of the laws for us. Through quite a few mistakes in the legal aspect.

Just get it done. Sorry you will waste a bit of a morning and afternoon, maybe you can see some of your friends or make a new one. Careful to get any papers properly signed.

In my own way I found it fun so I could point out what was wrong with it.
