Everything is still legible and the vital information is present, but I the paper is torn and looks like it was run through a machine, or tampered with. Will this be a problem when I submit them? Going through this process again would take way too long.

Hmmm, it could present a problem. I would just note down what happened when you process the paperwork. I was excited to receive my background check and accidentally ripped a small part on the corner while opening the envelope. My recruiter said it shouldn't be a problem as long as all information provided it clear.

Doubt they will except that. I think you need go go through thte process again. Sorry bro. I would add a letter with a picture of what was returned to ensure it doesn't happen again.
