Anybody been to Body and Seoul Martial Arts for muay Thai? Any comments about it? I'm looking for a decent muay Thai place near itaewon. Any information would be great. |

The Muay Thai classes are popular. They have 3 different styles of classes: Fundamentals, beginner, and experienced. One of their trainers is heading out soon, but I'm sure the next one they hire will be just as popular. Body and Seoul has a reservation system due to the popularity of their Muay Thai classes and other classes. It keeps the room from being too full, but it also requires that you RSVP early or you won't get in. You can attend any classes at Body and Seoul, too, so doing the crossfit-type endurance training, grappling, krav maga, and yoga classes are all options. |

Directly above Craftworks. While you are there drinking and relaxing, know that about 10 people are working out, fighting, and sweating profusely right above you. |

I really like their Fight Fit class, which is similar to CrossFit and other high intensity, functional exercise programs. It's my first time in a group fitness setting and I've found it to be very helpful. Having people next to you doing the same exercises in the same given time period really gets you to push yourself. If I went to a regular gym alone, I'd probably only work out at about 70% of the intensity I do at their Fight Fit class. It's like having a personal trainer without paying the price of one.
I found the Muay Thai class to not be very beginner-friendly. Although I did go to the regular class and not "Fundamentals of Muay Thai." I probably will next time. |
