Has anyone heard of, enrolled in, or know of anyone else who has enrolled in this program?
25 grand and it's all online. Your teaching job in Asia counts as your practicum.
Expensive, but it would cost more to move back and study full time and not work, or study and work part time.
Are there any other alternatives(specifically for Canadians) to obtain your Ed. degree/ teaching lisence while teaching abroad?

If you plan on teaching in Canada be careful with this. If this is only for Korea than ignore the following..
I've had friends who have gone down to get their B.Ed degree there, only to come back to Canada and realize they needed to upgrade a lot in order to get their lisence for the province they wanted to teach in. Remember in Canada each province has it's own requirements about what was covered in your B.Ed. in order to get your teaching ID number. The standards are different in America (B.Ed can be earned in 3-4 years) and Canada (takes most 6 years).
Also at least in N.B. a lot people look at the U.M.P.I. B.Ed. Program as a degree mill (1 year program which accepts almost all applicants and allows short cuts like counting your teaching in Korea as your practice teaching). Friends who have upgraded after graduating, in order to get qualified in their province, still feel they are looked at as less qualified because of where their degree is from. They can't get hired.
This isn't the online program I'm talking about though, so it might be different.. You need to check with the province you plan on teaching in to see how much upgrading you will need to do, if any.. |

Would it allow you to teach in the middle east or in other countries? |
