How much does an average person need a month.
The lowest option was like 500mb
I am thinking that is too low.
Would 2GB be ok with normal use? |

I use about 300 mb a month. However, I use wifi when I'm home so my data needs are less. |

On the SK plan, I was more concerned about the low minutes and text messages associated with the low data plans.
I think 2 gig is plenty of safety net, if you keep to wifi for video and audio streaming. |

I use about 7-8 GB a month but that's mixed 3G and WiFi. About 2-3 GB on my data plan (unlimited). Fortunately under ICS and JB you can identify which programs use the most data and restrict them to WiFi (for me it's Dropbox, Skydrive, Gallery App with Picasa and Facebook enabled, Google+, Google Play and Audible).
Internet use and things like Kakao Talk don't even appear among the Top 10, so it really depends on what you'll do with your phone.
With some restraint, I might get by with a 2 GB limit but there's a reason I wouldn't go with an LTE capped plan and stuck with 3G. |

Stick with 3g unlimited if at all possible... The 4g plans suck and there is little point to having slightly fasert internet if you cannot make use of it for fear of going over limits. |

unless you're constantly streaming and downloading very large files, it's pretty hard to go over 4GB, much less 6, 8 or 10. not to mention you cna get a rollover plan that gives you even more bandwidth. |

Good point about the 3G rollover plan. If you are on 4g, the rollover will go to 3g, but they made it sound like it was restricted to data and you couldn't stream. Is this true?
Also I forgot.. how much does that cost? Was it 5,000 or 10,000 per month? |

I can't agree with this enough. I usually don't use that much, but when I was in the hospital, I used over 10 GB in under a week. |

i'm talking about 4G and yeah you can stream on youtube or w/e. the limits are mainly in place to stop people from tethering and using torrents (which is bullshit, but w/e).
and 4G is significantly faster than 3G...like things that i used to download (eg podcasts) that took 2-3 mins to download on 3G take less than 20 seconds. |

Oh, I agree that 4G is faster, but for general streaming of music and typical YT stuff at "good enough" low resolution, 3G was just fine.
If anything, I have to watch 4G, because it will download a long show (which I might only want to watch some of) in such a short time, it can eat up a lot more bandwidth than I ever intended. |
