first time doing it and need to figure out where to go and how long it'll take. from what i could scour online...

1) you need to send a form directly to the FBI along with your fingerprints. takes about 8 weeks to get the copies back.

but...

1) where do you get your fingers printed? had it done once at immi, but never at a police station. is there a particular one to go to?

2) how do you get the thing apostilled in the sates from here? do you have to wait to receive the FBI copies and then re-send it back to an apostille agency in the states? any places in seoul that do it?

3) where do you send it exactly? and how good are they? considering it's the FBI, i'm assuming it's gonna get lost somewhere and end up being delayed.

Open up page http://www.state.gov/m/a/auth/ download and complete form DS-4194 make sure to send your documents and payment along with the form. You have to have the FBI CBC first obviously and it has to have the FBI stamp and signature on it.

I would obtain a FEDEX account and send it by FEDEX and have it returned by FEDEX. Don't use US mail or the local mail service for something like this. It could take forever to come back or not make it back at all

To get the CBC open http://www.fbi.gov/about-us/cjis/background-checks and then open Option 1: submit your request directly to the FBI. (Korean Immigration will not accept CBC's done by channelers). Download the applicant information form, credit card payment form and the FBI identification Checklist. Fill out the forms and include a separate paper requesting the CBC gets stamped and signed for apostilling (you have to include this with the application or the CBC will not be any good).
Send it by FEDEX to the address listed, have it returned by FEDEX.
