So I'm doing all the usual stuff, checking on here, googling, checking websites directly but if anyone has any leads of places hiring (which will accept an MA in progress) I would really appreciate the information.
Any location is okay, college level is okay (I want to build up experience).
I have 6 years of teaching experience, 5 of which were in Korea. |

You're too late for the fall semester and too early for the spring one. Start looking for ads in December and January. |

I have already found around 30 places hiring for the spring semester with some deadlines having already passed. |

Yes, but hey, any lead helps, right? It's pretty competitive these days and some jobs only seem to get advertised in some pretty obscure places. |

Too late for round 1, but some schools may still look again if someone they try to hire ends up canceling.
We are not hiring. |

Oh, right. I stand corrected. I forgot about the insane time it takes to get an E2 visa nowadays, and so I speaking in terms of when I used to need to apply for an E2. |

My school just sent out letters a week or two ago asking who wanted to be signed again for spring, so I wouldn't expect them to start hiring for a couple weeks until after they crunch numbers. |

heard that (at least the parent school of) that place expects at least five years of experience at the university/college/adult hakwon to get hired on. also heard that someone's friend of a friend was recently turned down with 10 years of experience in korea. an actual master's in hand would be beneficial, with the 5 yrs in korea. as well, heard only one person is being hired. as it is apparently one of the better/best? lower-tiered places in all of busan, and perhaps korea?(definitely when schedule and vacation are considered), it may not be the easiest place to become a teacher at. no harm in applying though, i'm sure. same as everywhere; more applications submitted will likely lead to the possibility of a hiring. best of luck/skill! |
